Oryx Rotana, the five-star luxury business hotel in Doha, concluded its fourth annual swimming competition for kids. The event saw the participation of 78 contestants varying between School students, children of guests, as well as of the hotel residents. The competition was witnessed by an audience of more than 350 people who supported the participants and enjoyed a nice and relaxing sunny day by the pool with family and friends.
Speaking on this occasion, Lana Jwainat, Director of Marketing & Communications, Oryx Rotana Hotel said: “This year’s tournament witnessed a great turnout with 78 contestants from both genders registering for the event and we are extremely delighted to see the number of participants increasing year after year.” “The competition aims to deliver a day full of fun and excitement, and for the parents to spend quality time with their kids and encourage them to present their talents in this sports loved by everyone and motivate them to win the race”, added Lana Jwainat
“By organizing this annual contest, we aim to create an atmosphere of fun and memorable experience for children by going into a new adventure that will teach them swimming skills of various kinds, and also provide opportunity for everyone to improve their talents in swimming with the help of trained professionals in addition to the chance to win valuable prizes” she concluded. At the end of the tournament Wellage Ushara Ovidu De Silva won the Overall Championship Medal in male category, while Shenoa Sarkari and Abeygale Seema Fernandes won the same in female category.
