Qatari private companies who own Quarries and Crushes in the UAE have hailed the strategic role QPMC has recently adopted; launching strategic site visits to Qatari private companies that own or operate Quarries in the UAE, a business-to business trip designed to oversee and ensure that the quality of the aggregates QPMC has procured from receives all the testing requirements and inspection at all points throughout the aggregate supply chain.
This mechanism comes in parallel with QPMC’s established vision aimed at ensuring that the quality-grades of all the primary materials QPMC has secured, via supply agreements from the Emirates of Fujairah & Ras Al Khaimah in the United Arab Emirates, meet and match the increasing high quality demand on primary materials amidst the thriving construction sector in the state of Qatar.
In view of this applauded vision that stems from the terms of QPMC’s strategic leadership goals, Qatari private companies who own and operate quarries and crushers in the UAE have pledged to abide by QPMC’s framework and have vowed accordingly to deliver high-quality primary materials at the forefront of QPMC’s pivotal milestones aimed at ensuring that the construction sector in the state of Qatar continues to progress and thrive, according to, and in alignment with Qatar’s sustainable development strategy at the forefront of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and its National Development Strategy.”
The QPMC delegation comprising of 15-members were headed by Engineer Eisa Al-Hammadi, QPMC CEO and led thorough inspections raising high-end conformity reports overseeing quarries which QPMC has recently procured from and simultaneously held high-end meetings to ensure that the high-quality aggregates it has secured meet and match the Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS). The business-to-business trip which lasted between March 14 to 17, 2016 was designed to ensure that the grades of all aggregates and primary materials supplied to QPMC match the Qatar Construction Specification and quality standards.
Experts from the newly appointed Qatari owned quality assurance company, FirstLab, accompanied QPMC’s delegation throughout the Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah inspection trip to ensure that QPMC’s demand for high quality aggregates is met whilst focusing on overseeing that the delivery of the aggregate quality assurance scheme and traceability and testing are all conducted at all points in the aggregated supply chain up to the final acceptance in Qatar.
From his part, Engineer Eisa Al-Hammadi, QPMC’s CEO, said: “QPMC has partnered with key private Qatari companies that are strongly committed to QPMC’s mission and pledge to participate in the ever-growing local construction sector. The field concurrently works with QPMC’s mission of aiding in the development of construction projects as per Qatar’s National Vision 2030.”
The QPMC delegation included senior and executive QPMC management team members led by Engineer Eisa Al-Hammadi, QPMC’s CEO. QPMC delegation comprised seniors from various company pillars & departments; Logistic and supply Chain, Ports, Legal Affairs, Sales and other divisions that were supported by a number of experts and technicians specialized in the field of aggregates (gabbro and limestone) testing and inspection services and high quality product conformities.
The four-day trip comprised of visits to numerous sites, starting with a tour to the quarries producing the most raw materials for QPMC’s importations. First, the delegation surveyed “Oryx Industries”, one of the leading primary material companies in the region. They later inspected The Gate (Al Bawaba) Primary Materials. During the second day the delegation headed to Al Fujairah port with Port of Fujairah General Manager Captain Mousa Murad, to assess the logistic expansion of the port that distributes materials to local and regional markets.
Throughout the port visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between Port of Fujairah General Manager Captain Mousa Murad and Engineer Eisa Al-Hammadi, QPMC CEO to ensure mutual cooperation and benefits that come from the exchange of expertise with regards to high quality aggregate, supply chain, and technical consultations. The memorandum of understanding successfully reflected both parties’ beliefs in transparency, reliability and efficiency.
QPMC organized a workshop conducted by “FirstLab” that shed light on the significance of developing scientific research of raw materials. Research can potentially advance the process of gabbro production to ensure a continuous flow of high quality aggregate to the State of Qatar. In attendance were representatives & owners from private Qatari companies who own or have long-term production lines in Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. The third and last day in Fujairah, the delegation visited the Village Trading Group where they were briefed on the latest group projects and high quality aggregate.
The Fujairah Rock and Aggregate Company also engaged the delegation in a presentation about its projects, the types of rocks frequently used, and gave insights on the quantity of its productions. This was followed by a trip to the reclamation project located north of Al Fujairah Port, which was a 2.8 kilometer project instigated by QPMC. A tour of the quarries and lines of production of aggregate concluded the visit.
The fourth and final day of the trip took place in Ras Al Khaimah, the QPMC delegation and FirstLab were subsequently escorted by MFH Co., one of Qatar’s leading companies established to supply high quality construction materials and who have become one of the leading suppliers of Gabbro Aggregates, Limestone and Rocks for mega projects in Qatar. MFH who QPMC has signed a supply agreement with lately invited QPMC to visit “Stevin Rock”, the leading supplier of rock and limestone in the region, where they observed the process of exporting material due to the quarries’ strategic location from where they procure.
The short visit highlighted the impact of developing the most influential economic sectors in Qatar that is key to achieving sustainable development, one of QPMC’s main priorities. QPMC plays an active role in promoting the construction field by regularly offering premium materials, in addition to facilitating the stability of market prices.
