Cooking a healthy meal will no longer be a daunting task. Gate To Wellness and Jones the Grocer are partnering to offer a convenient way to learn healthy cooking techniques and try new recipes at culinary workshops.
Gate To Wellness, which is the only specialised medical tourism company in Doha that is also approved by the Medical Tourism Association in the United States, has announced a series of three informative workshops to be held on February 7, February 14 and March 6, 2016 at La Croisette, Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar. All sessions will be held for two hours from 10 am to 12 noon and will feature two or three menu items. "At Gate To Wellness, we are focused on health & wellness and we look to inspire &inform the people of Qatar through our hands-on culinary workshops. We also believe in making these services as accessible as possible," said Reem Al Daghma, General Manager of Gate To Wellness
This workshop will be conducted in English for a small group of no more than 20 people. "The sessions will combine knowledge on the ingredients required for a healthy meal and a cookery demonstration. Further, the emphasis will be on having an informal,interactive experience, with plenty of cooking, talking and eating," asserted Jessica Munisamy General Manager of Jones the Grocer. Reem Al Daghma added that the attendees can learn about new foods, nutrition concepts and cooking techniques. "Those attending the workshops will get practical information they can take home, which can be used to make more meals with their own families — something we are really pushing this year as part of our healthy food campaign," she cited.
The workshops will offer easy and healthy recipes for breakfast, lunch and desserts. During the work shop titled 'Healthy supercharged breakfast' to be held on February 7th, attendees will learn to prepare Very Berry Breakfast, Green Power Smoothie and Granola with a protein boost. This will be followed by a workshop on 'Light & healthy Italian meals' on February 14th that will focus on cooking vegetable lasagna and zucchini noodles with avocado cream sauce. And finally, to satisfy those sweet cravings, the workshop on 'sugar free yummy desserts' scheduled on March 6th, will demonstrate how to make raw chocolate snacks and banana toffee.
