Mr. Mark Timbrell, the newly appointed General Manager of Oryx Rotana, the five star luxury business hotel in Doha, announced the management's current and future plans to strengthen the hotel’s position both locally and internationally. During the Press Conference - his first address to the local media - he offered insights about the refurbishment projects undertaken across all its outlets. He also highlighted some of the promotional activities that the hotel will reinforce in the near future.
Emphasizing on Oryx Rotana’s high reputation, Mr. Mark Timbrell said, “Oryx Rotana occupies a special place not only among visitors to the State of Qatar but also among those who have been acquainted with the high level of services that we offer through our various outlets. Whether it is the lobby, which has now been totally redesigned, or our famous restaurants, the well-equipped gym or meeting rooms, all these serve as a meeting place for our guests who enjoy spending quality time with their friends or relatives."

Also, due to substantial economic growth, Doha is poised to be the hub for international conventions and exhibitions. I joined the administration of Oryx Rotana in Doha due to several factors, one of them is the fact that the hotel has achieved great success locally and internationally. The hotel has positioned itself as a prime destination to businessmen and is also by far the most popular hotel among all segments of the society," he continued.

Timbrell has considerable experience in the hospitality industry, where he began his career in 1983 in Britain and moved between several hotels. In 1995, he took the leadership of Forte Grand Hotel in Amman - Jordan for two years. He then moved to Bahrain to handle the Regency Intercontinental Hotel until 1999. In the same year, he returned to Jordan and managed several hotels until April 2007. Following this assignment, he joined the Rotana Group as General Manager of Gefinor Rotana Hotel in Lebanon. In 2013, he has been appointed as General Manager of Hotel Khalidiya Palace Ryhaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi.
