Doha Festival City, Qatar’s unique, world-class retail, entertainment and dining destination, will celebrate Eid Al Fitr with an exciting giant live version of Monopoly, the world’s best-selling board game. The concept is based on the original board game. The activity will start from the first day of Eid until 14 June 2019 and will be located at Centre Court, ground floor, and shoppers will be able to win fantastic prizes while playing the game!

In order to join the game, shoppers must spend a minimum of QAR 200 at any of the mall’s retailers. They can take all their receipts to the Customer Service desks, located around the Mall, to get them stamped. There will be 4 sessions per day and players can participate once they provide a new receipt valued at a minimum of QAR 200. Once shoppers get their receipts stamped to play and register their details, they get allocated MONOPOLY play pieces. Mr Monopoly and Mr Jailer, Masters of Ceremony, will make sure everyone is entertained and, most importantly, playing by the rules.

The Giant live Monopoly game will feature mall retailers as destinations. Participating brands include: ACE, Al Tawfeeq Travel, A&F, Attila Mongolian Grill, Carluccio's, Centrepoint, Hollister, Hollywood Stars, Lego, Lovely Lace, Luxury Spa & Fitness, Maki, Nando’s, Nespresso, Old Navy and Optica who will all offer gift vouchers as prizes for players. During Eid, Doha Festival City shoppers will also enjoy an array of retailer discounts, food and beverage offerings, a photo booth, as well as a live interactive gaming version of Yala’ydo, a popular TV show for kids, which is hosted by Angry Birds Theme Park from 1st  to 4th day of Eid at Theme Parks Atrium, the lower ground floor.

Says, General Manager of Doha Festival City, Robert Hall: “We are extremely excited to bring a game like this to Doha Festival City for Eid and as part of our Summer Entertainment. We are grateful to our retailers for their participation and we look forward to seeing that competitive spirit playing the world’s most-popular board game live.
