DC Pro Engineering UAE, the leading global authority in District Energy and regional pioneer in sustainable Green Building MEP Designs, is aiming to increase its annual turnover five-fold by 2020 after posting record results of 33% and 66% growth in Sales and Profit for the first eight months of 2015.

As part of DC Pro Engineering’s five-year growth strategy to leverage mega regional construction projects including Expo 2020 Dubai and the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Fouad Younan (pictured) - an experienced senior executive in the District Cooling & HVAC industry - has been appointed as the company’s new Managing Director with immediate effect. Younan’s wealth of experience and expertise in the district cooling industry includes spells as the CEO of Qatar Cool and General Manager of EMICOOL. The Lebanese national also helped establish and develop City Cool with the Al Rajhi Group for the UAE, Saudi and Bahraini markets.

“With an impeccable delivery and innovation record, DC Pro Engineering is rightfully considered one of the region’s leading electromechanical consultants,” said Younan. “With the GCC hosting mega events such as Dubai’s World Expo in 2020 and Qatar’s FIFA World Cup in 2022, the company has great potential for continuous growth and employs a diverse cross-section of talent committed to providing high quality standards of service.

“The DC Pro Engineering vision aims to create extremely satisfied customers who, in turn, act as ambassadors for establishing the company’s reputation for pioneering technical expertise in neighboring markets. I look forward to steering the company to even greater heights,” he added. As a graduate of the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, USA, Younan holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. With over 26 years’ experience in technical engineering and senior executive roles, Younan has successfully led international and local organizations in driving business strategies and development.

DC Pro Engineering’s key projects feature some of the largest in the Middle East. These include Jeddah’s Kingdom Tower, envisioned to be the world’s tallest building, and the new King Abdul-Aziz International Airport, as well as Riyadh’s Al Bustan II Development. The company is also involved in the Khalifa Stadium project in Qatar, the Mariyah Island and Saadiyat Island projects in Abu Dhabi, the award-winning Innovation Park in Muscat and many more.

“These projects bear witness to the profound trust and confidence regional clients have in DC Pro Engineering’s capacity to deliver on-time and on-budget,” said Younan. Further afield, DC Pro Engineering has been involved in several landmark international projects including Barangaroo South in New South Wales, Australia, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore and several Hilton Hotels worldwide including properties in Chad, the Seychelles, Nigeria and Uganda.

The announcement of Younan’s appointment comes hot-on-the-heels of DC Pro Engineering winning its second consecutive ‘District Cooling Consultant of the Year’ award at the 4th Asia Pacific District Cooling Conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
