W Doha Hotel & Residences to host Luis Fonsi, the Despacito star

W Doha Hotel & Residences, the first luxury lifestyle hotel in Qatar will host the "DESPACITO" star and Puerto Rican music sensation Luis Fonsi for an exclusive performance on the 6th of December at 9:00pm at the Great Room located at the W Doha hotel.

As a singer, songwriter and music producer, Luis has dominated across several genres including Billboard’s Top Latin, Latin Pop and Heat seekers charts. In January 2017, he blazed a trail when he promoted and released "DESPACITO" featuring Daddy Yankee. The music video reached more than 1,9 billion views, with the song occupying the number one slot in nearly every western country. Crowned as the king of “THE” summer hit 2017, "DESPACITO" was given an English remix featuring Canadian singer Justin Bieber, going on to enjoy phenomenal success across the entire globe. 

Doha’s multicultural fans will enjoy Luis as a truly great singer while “living” out his songs and pouring out the honest, heart-rending emotion he is renowned for. Fonsi’s talent was evident when his debut album, Comenzaré (I Will Begin) immediately set a record and peaked at number 11 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart, becoming an instant hit in Puerto Rico and across Latin America. His success promptly won him legions of fans in markets such as Colombia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Mexico, and Venezuela. Powered by that early success, he went on to record a duet with Christina Aguilera and quickly won his first Latin Grammy 2009 for “Aqui Estoy Yo”.  In 2011 Billboard named Fonsi "Leader of Latin Music's New Generation".
