Katsuya by Starck brings the art of Japanese cuisine to Qatar

To honor its official opening in Qatar, Katsuya by Starck hosted a masterclass entitled: “The Art of Japanese Sushi Making” led by its in-house chef.

The masterclass was attended by local media representatives, and food bloggers and social media influencers who engaged in an interactive sushi-making session that combined classic techniques with Katusya by Starck’s iconic international twist. Attendees watched as the chef skillfully sliced the fish into elegant pieces, then got to try first-hand the techniques of sushi rolling. “Katsuya prides itself on creating authentic dishes that cater to the international palate,” said Chef Mark Sorezo, Head Chef at Katsuya by Starck. “We wanted this masterclass to give our attendees an insight to the art of Japanese sushi making while introducing them to the tips and tricks that have made Katsuya the award-winning restaurant it is today.”

Katsuya by Starck made its foray into Qatar with the opening of their first restaurant in the country, at Villagio Mall.
